Job summary

P2PSoftTek Inc is seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer for a hybrid role based in Vienna, VA or Winchester, VA, with a three-day-per-week in-office requirement. This position is strictly W2.

The candidate will work with IBM System Automation for z/OS, IBM NetView, CICS automation, and REXX scripting to ensure high availability and automation across parallel Sysplex environments, JCL, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, and z/OS tools, while leveraging IWS, OMEGAMON, ServiceNow, and Moogsoft for workload and

• Expert-level experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS, IBM NetView and CICS automation.
• Advanced REXX programming for automation routines.
• Strong knowledge of Parallel Sysplex, JCL, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, z/OS UNIX System Services and z/OS operations.
• Experience with OMEGAMON, ServiceNow and Moogsoft for event management.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery automation (GDPS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Ansible and REST APIs for mainframe modernization.

Key Technical Expertise Required:

• Systems & Architecture: Expert-level experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS, IBM NetView, and CICS availability/recovery automation.
• Programming & Scripting: Advanced REXX programming for enterprise automation solutions, command processors, and automation routines.
• Environments & Tools: Strong knowledge of Parallel Sysplex environments, JCL, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, z/OS UNIX System Services, and z/OS operations.
• Workload & Monitoring: Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS, TWS, ZWS) and event management tools like IBM OMEGAMON, ServiceNow, and Moogsoft.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Experience with OMEGAMON situation development, GDPS, and disaster recovery automation.
• Familiarity with Ansible, REST APIs, and mainframe modernization technologies.
