Job summary

LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking two experienced Lead Mainframe Engineers to support and maintain enterprise IBM Z/mainframe environments in the United States.

The role requires hands-on DB2 expertise and strong knowledge of mainframe software installation, configuration, deployment, and infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in mainframe environments, experience with USS, Zowe, z/OSMF, and SMP/E, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams while delivering reliable mainframe

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a mainframe environment.
• Strong hands-on DB2 experience – critical requirement.
• 1+ years of experience with UNIX System Services (USS), Zowe, and z/OSMF.
• 2+ years of experience with mainframe storage infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and deploying mainframe software using SMP/E.
• Experience with one or more of the following mainframe tech/products: z/OS, ESP, ACF2, Syncsort, WebSphere, DFSMS, HSM, CICS, DB2.
• 2+ years of coding/scripting experience with REXX, COBOL, SAS, ISPF, CLIST, JCL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and utilities using mainframe programming/scripting languages.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on mainframe engineering activities.
• Analyze system issues and implement effective technical solutions.
• Follow enterprise standards for system security, configuration, change management, and software deployment.

Job description

We are seeking 2 experienced Lead Mainframe Engineers to support and maintain enterprise mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM Z/z/OS environments, DB2, mainframe storage, SMP/E, UNIX System Services (USS), Zowe, and z/OSMF.

DB2 experience is a critical requirement for this position. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with DB2 within a mainframe environment, along with strong knowledge of mainframe software installation, configuration, deployment, and infrastructure.
