Job summary

IntePros is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer for a 12-month contract to support maintenance, enhancements, and modernization of an Automated Cash Management platform. The role blends hands-on mainframe coding with production support across a large financial services environment.

Responsibilities include developing and testing mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS, plus modernizing efforts involving CI/CD, cloud technologies, and APIs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Mainframe Development.
• Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS experience.
• Hands-on with Control-M and MQ Series.
• Experience with Easytrieve or REXX is a plus.
• Production support and incident resolution experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of a critical Automated Cash Management (ACAM) platform within a large-scale financial services environment.

This role combines hands-on mainframe development with production support. You will work on business-critical applications while contributing to modernization initiatives and collaborating with teams across development, production support, product, and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, implement, and maintain mainframe applications and enhancements.
• Work extensively with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex batch processes using Control-M and related scheduling tools.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with product teams, business stakeholders, production support, and globally distributed development teams.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives involving CI/CD, cloud technologies, APIs, and hybrid integration.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Mainframe Development experience.
• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M and MQ Series.
• Experience with Easytrieve or REXX.
• Strong understanding of batch processing, online transaction processing, file-based data flows, and EBCDIC.
• Production support and incident resolution experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and source control tools such as Endevor, GitLab, or similar.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
