Select Minds LLC is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer in Phoenix, AZ to design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications. The role requires hands-on COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 expertise along with strong debugging skills and production support capabilities.

Ideal candidates will have 4–10+ years of experience, familiarity with mainframe utilities, and the ability to work onsite with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4–10+ years of hands-on Mainframe development experience.
• Strong command of COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2 in complex environments.
• Proficiency with VSAM, IMS and TSO/ISPF for daily tasks.
• Experience with mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, File Manager) preferred.

Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Day 1 Onsite)

Mode of interview: In person (F2F)

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in application development, maintenance, and support, along with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Perform unit testing, defect fixing, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during development and deployment.

Required Skills

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
