Job summary

Accenture Flex is hiring an Application Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex mainframe issues across Johnson Controls applications, using COBOL, IMS/Db2, and CICS MQ. You will collaborate with multiple teams, guide problem resolution, and contribute to SOPs.

This role emphasizes hands-on incident management and knowledge sharing onsite in the US. Role requires at least five years in engineering support, with strong mainframe skills and experience in CA7, REXX, FTP/SFTP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Engineering Support.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering Support is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex software issues and develop effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.
• Lead collaborative efforts across teams to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents and minimize business impact.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring problems and proposing enhancements to processes and tools.
• Provide expert guidance and knowledge sharing to support team members and foster a culture of learning.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures to elevate service quality.
• Daily system integrity verification and interface feed checks; reporting and ad-hoc reporting.
• Programming languages: IMS, Db2, COBOL, Java, CICS, MQ, Assembler.
• Knowledge of CA7, REXX, FTP, SFTP.
