Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a part-time Maine Licensed Medical Coder to identify CPT-4 codes for inpatient services, abstract data during chart reviews, and maintain coding standards while working remotely.

You will collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation, provide feedback, and uphold productivity in a remote healthcare coding role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC).
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience.
• At least 2 years with Hospitalist and Intensivist coding.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Excel, and EMR/billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign CPT-4 codes and modifiers for inpatient services in a hospital setting
• Abstract additional data elements during the coding process as necessary

• 5+ years of coding experience

• Intermediate proficiency with Windows, MS Excel, and EMR/billing systems
