Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is growing and seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery team in the Main Operating Room. The RN circulates, prepares the OR, and ensures patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, Alabama RN license, BLS, and ideally 1 year OR experience. Benefits start on day one and include medical, retirement, HSA/FSAs, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and eligible for Alabama RN licensure.
• Requires current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS as applicable.
• 1 year OR experience preferred; strong teamwork in surgical settings.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the main operating room and support the surgical team.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile instruments for procedures.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
• Communicate with team to coordinate care and patient needs.
