Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems - Heavy Equipment Group in Iron River, MI is seeking a Main Military Assembler to perform diversified assembly and erection operations on intricate equipment to meet tight tolerances and safety requirements.

You will utilize crane operations, hydraulic knowledge, blueprints, and rigging skills to complete assembly, testing, and final fit-up with a focus on quality and on-time delivery. This position offers opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical assembly experience strongly preferred.
• Blueprint reading, math, and measuring device experience required.
• Experience with crane operations and rigging heavy items on the floor.
• Knowledge of basic hydraulic functions and how they operate.
• Ability to perform work on elevated equipment and surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced cranes and rigging as part of assembly.
• Support shipping processes and prepare components for installation.
• Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
• Apply hydraulic procedures and test systems during assembly.
• Understand shaft couplings and alignments during final assembly.
• Follow drawings, specifications, and procedures to fit parts and sub-assemblies.
• Support other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Main Military Assembler to join our Iron River, MI Team! The Main Military Assembler will perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive apparatus, machines or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements. Work requires skill and assembling techniques, plus experience and a knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles. This position will demonstrate the ability to meet routed hours with acceptable quality and safety.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Advanced Crane Operations and Rigging
• Shipping process and preparation
• Perform Quality Checks through out process
• Advanced Hydraulic applications and procedures
• Understand and assembly of shaft coupling and alignments
• Advanced set up and procedures for final assembly
• Complete final assembly and testing
• Perform floor test procedures
• Advanced Hydraulic applications and procedures
• Advanced Assembly processes and techniques
• Pipe Bending
• Silver Braising
• Follow complicated assembly drawings, specifications, and procedures to perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
