Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems - Heavy Equipment Group in Iron River, MI is seeking a Main Military Assembler to perform diversified assembly and erection operations on intricate equipment to meet tight tolerances and safety requirements.

You will utilize crane operations, hydraulic knowledge, blueprints, and rigging skills to complete assembly, testing, and final fit-up with a focus on quality and on-time delivery. This position offers opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical assembly experience strongly preferred.
• Blueprint reading, math, and measuring device experience required.
• Experience with crane operations and rigging heavy items on the floor.
• Knowledge of basic hydraulic functions and how they operate.
• Ability to perform work on elevated equipment and surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced cranes and rigging as part of assembly.
• Support shipping processes and prepare components for installation.
• Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
• Apply hydraulic procedures and test systems during assembly.
• Understand shaft couplings and alignments during final assembly.
• Follow drawings, specifications, and procedures to fit parts and sub-assemblies.
• Support other duties as assigned.
