Overview

Responsible for working alongside all housekeeping team members to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the resort, as well as assisting guests, housekeeping staff, and other departments in all housekeeping-related functions in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner that maintains high standards of service hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and ensure all areas of the resort are clean including guest rooms, meeting rooms, corridors, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and all other public spaces.
• Complete morning and mid-shift walk-throughs of the units, monitoring the physical condition and ensuring standards are met.
• Inform team members of cleaning duties required and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Familiarize with Boyne’s accommodations, meeting facilities, and furnishings.
• Prepare daily assignments for subordinates and review duties with them.
• Handle documentation for team members not following rules and guidelines, and consult with the Executive Housekeeper for corrective actions.
• Maintain ongoing training, education, and development for team members.
• Complete all required checklists.
• Handle guest requests and concerns promptly, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Knowledge of chemicals and equipment used in housekeeping.
• Conduct daily morning meetings with team members.
• Prepare weekly schedules and inventories to ensure supplies are at par levels.
• Assist room attendants when necessary.
• Monitor staffing schedules and communicate changes to staff.
• Comply with recycling programs.
• Supervise and direct all housekeeping team members.
• Interview, hire, train, appraise, reward, coach, and counsel staff.
• Address complaints and resolve issues.
