SWOPE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM INC in Elizabethtown, KY 42701 is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform full multi-point inspections, and provide accurate labor estimates. You will collaborate with Service Advisors to keep workflows efficient and communicate repair findings clearly to guests.

The role emphasizes staying current with vehicle technologies, testing components, and maintaining a professional appearance in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred OEM experience and warranty work.
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license.
• Detail knowledge of new vehicle technologies and computer skills.
• Pass pre-employment testing including background check and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and perform work on maintenance and repair orders to dealership standards.
• Complete multi-point inspections and provide labor estimates.
• Identify repairs using used car checklists and communicate findings.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings for repairs.
• Demonstrate guest service with clear communication about vehicles.
• Test batteries in the service bay and promote teamwork.
• Continue learning new technical information in formal training sessions.

The Automotive Technician will:

• Diagnose and perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Perform used car checklists to identify what repairs need to be made.
• Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisor’s to ensure efficient work flow.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Test batteries of guest vehicles in service bay.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
