Swope Hyundai in Elizabethtown, KY is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles in a fast-paced service environment. You’ll complete multi-point inspections, provide labor estimates, and collaborate with Service Advisors to keep workflows moving smoothly.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, knowledge of new vehicle technologies, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

The Automotive Technician will:

• Diagnose and perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Perform used car checklists to identify what repairs need to be made.
• Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisor’s to ensure efficient work flow.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Test batteries of guest vehicles in service bay.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

Qualifications:

• Main Line/Warranty experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies and computer skills.
• Ability to be analytical and multi-task.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Consistent and stable work history and work attendance.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Extensive knowledge/experience of vehicle repairs preferred
• All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen
