MGM Resorts in Atlantic City is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. You will apply culinary techniques, engage guests with a welcoming service, and help create WOW memories during their stay.

You will work varied shifts, including weekends/holidays, with a HS diploma and 1–2 years of cook/resort kitchen experience. The rate is $24.60 per hour, with comprehensive benefits, free meals, parking, and 401(k).

THE JOB:

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Required to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Preferred
• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in a similar resort setting Preferred
• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Cook Preferred

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:

$24.60

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
