Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
• Two years of mailroom operations experience is required.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, observation skills and attention to detail are required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Manage the processing of United States and interdepartmental mail and parcels.
• Supervise the mail room staff and evaluate per policy.
• Receive, sort, distribute and deliver incoming and interdepartmental mail, parcels and packages.
• Process certified and registered mail.
• Compute postage rates and meter outgoing mail and packages.
• Inspect mail for contraband in accordance with policy.
