Job summary

ESFM, the facilities management arm of Compass Group USA, seeks a Mailroom Clerk in Cambridge, MA. You will accurately process mail, shipments, and couriers with a focus on top-tier customer service, while maintaining records and following SOPs.

This full-time role offers a structured schedule and benefits tied to a large client portfolio. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and relevant shipping experience; preferred certifications and knowledge of dangerous goods shipping

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant prior customer service experience.
• Preferred Dangerous Goods shipping certificate (49 CFR & IATA).
• Preferred knowledge of domestic and international shipping of Dangerous & Non-Dangerous Goods including country guidelines.
• Preferred experience using shipping software used by common carriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx).

Responsibilities

• Process USPS and interoffice mail, courier items and magazines with accuracy.
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment.
• Track courier items and maintain accountability records.
• Package, label and process hazardous and non-hazardous materials per carrier SOPs.
• Research and route unidentified mail and coordinate bulk mail transport.
• Follow client SOPs and respond to customer inquiries and needs.
• Monitor packages for hazardous/suspicious materials; perform other duties as assigned.
