Job description

Mail Specialist

Location: Milwaukee, WI

The purpose of this position is to process all incoming and outgoing mail in a timely manner. In addition, this role is responsible for scanning incoming mail for various departments within TFL. This role also provides backup to the check processing operation, along with sorting and matching checks to letters and reviewing and closing work flows.

Responsibilities
  • Sorts and delivers incoming mail by department to ensure timely distribution.
  • Backup to the check processing operation, along with sorting and matching checks to letters and reviewing and closing work flows.
  • Operates mail machines including postage meter and mail folding and inserting machine.
  • Processes and weighs outgoing mail (including standard, overnight, and policy packets)
  • Takes inventory of supplies for user departments and stocks supplies.
  • Stocks supplies needed for the mailroom
  • Works with Policy Packets and deliveries to of mail to Advisors
  • Opens and scans incoming mail for various departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Works on projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of operating instructions and processes for machines
  • Excellent communication skills with high level of professionalism
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
