Job summary

RRD Company is seeking an operation associate in Logan, UT, to run equipment that addresses, weighs, and ties printed publications for mailing by zip code. You will review instructions, adjust machinery, and maintain production records while ensuring timely processing of outbound parcels via UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

The role requires familiarity with standard operating procedures, basic clerical tasks related to equipment, and the ability to identify and fix minor machine issues.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment that can be set up and operated following simple instructions
• Ability to perform minor clerical tasks related to equipment operation (e.g., maintain machine records, label creation)
• Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

Responsibilities

• Operate machines for addressing, weighing, and tying publications for mailing by zip code
• Review manufacturing instructions to determine publication type and size
• Adjust guides, rollers, inserter, weighing machine, and tying arm as needed
• Record production data by customer name and zip code and log machine downtime
• Process and ship outgoing small parcels (UPS, FedEx, DHL)

Job Description

• Operate machines that automatically addresses, weighs, and ties into bundles printed publications, such as magazines, catalogs, and pamphlets, for mailing according to zip code.
• Review manufacturing instructions to determine type and size of publication scheduled for mailing.
• Make adjustments to guides, rollers, loose card inserter, weighing machine, and tying arm, using rule and hand tools.
• Records production according to customer name and zip code, and machine down time due to malfunctions or lack of work.
• Processes and ships outgoing small package parcels such as UPS, Federal Express, and DHL.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment
• Requires skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
• Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

Additional Information

A Shift - Tuesday-Friday 7AM-5PM

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.31 - $16.06 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
