Job summary

KACE Company in Portland, OR is seeking a Mail Theft Triage and Maintenance Support Analyst to assist in volume attack mail theft investigations. You will coordinate with USPS Maintenance, manage repairs, and triage recovered mail, ensuring secure receptacles and timely processing of evidence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience, strong analytical and written communication skills, and knowledge of federal statutes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with minimum three years’ work experience.
• Ability to organize information and communicate results effectively orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of federal statutes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with internet and public databases for research.
• Ability to analyze investigative results and support case development.
• Experience supporting criminal/civil investigations; ability to work under supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of USPS Mail Theft investigations is desired.

Responsibilities

• Mail Receptacle security: notify USPS stakeholders, coordinate upgrades/replacements, manage keys/locks.
• Monitor time to replace damaged receptacles; troubleshoot and ensure upgrades completed.
• Monitor USPS Arrow Key accountability.
• Review mail theft crime reports; ensure Break-in Reports are complete and entered.
• Triage recovered mail: identify evidentiary value, contact customers, coordinate retention.
• Process mail theft case evidence: photocopying, data entry, disposition.
• Coordinate Victim Notification Mailings and surveys; manage spreadsheets.
• Other duties as assigned in mail theft investigations.
