Job summary

RPh on the Go in Warren, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 26-week contract in Long Term Care and Mail Order settings, with second shift hours 1:30pm–10pm and rotating day/evening shifts.

You will fill prescriptions, assist with IV preparations, data entry with Billing, packaging, and ensure inventory accuracy while collaborating with pharmacists and management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in sterile compounding/IV preparation is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and facilitate reimbursement processing.
• Prepackage medications following regulatory standards and assist in the final verification process with the Pharmacist.
• Coordinate timely and precise medication delivery to customers.
• Support pharmacy management with inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate lot and expiration records.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by ensuring equipment calibration and cleanliness in partnership with the Technician Supervisor.

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy environments. The role offers a 26-week contract with the potential to transition to permanent employment, working primarily on the 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 10pm, with some rotating day/evening shifts (8am-5pm; 1pm-9pm).
