FSSI - Financial Statement Services Inc. is seeking a Mailing Expeditor/Driver for the 2nd shift in Santa Ana, CA. The role involves expediting large-scale mailing production, job tracking, materials staging, and inventory logging, with duties including occasional driving for USPS deliveries.

The position is full-time (Mon-Fri, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm) with overtime as needed during high-volume cycles. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent movement around the mailing

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Supervisor in scheduling production runs and log work orders.
• Verify information on job checklists before starting each job.
• Stage materials for mailing operators and manage movement of heavy items.
• Ensure materials are ordered and received; return unused materials.
• Assist client service reps with customer questions about stock or inserts.
• Receive end-of-shift turnover to the next supervisor.
• Occasional backup driving duties for pickups and deliveries to USPS facilities.
• Prepare daily production volume for USPS, PBPS, and Direct Mailing.

Mailing Expeditor/Driver

FSSI is currently looking for a Mailing Expeditor/Driver to join our 2nd shift team in Santa Ana, CA. This position is responsible for expediting large-scale bulk mailing production including job tracking, materials staging, and inventory logging. This job also drives company vehicles for drop offs at USPS facilities.

Full-time Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm (2nd shift)

Overtime is scheduled as needed, and could require coming in earlier, staying later, and working weekend shifts during high-volume production cycles.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Supervisor in scheduling all production runs and accept mailing work orders and checklists into the Mailing Department, based on specified criteria
• Verify that all necessary information needed to start each job is on the checklist and correct
• Stage materials for the mailing operators, including physically moving job trees requiring strenuous physical work such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling
• Work with the Shift Supervisor to ensure all necessary materials to complete the job have been ordered and received. Return all unused materials back to leftovers
• Assist Client Service Reps in promptly resolving customer questions or problems regarding stock or inserts
• Receive and give a verbal turnover to shift Supervisor at end of each shift
• Serve as a backup driver when needed:
• Driving company vehicles for the purpose of pick-ups and deliveries to designated locations
• Prepare daily production volume for USPS, Pitney Bowes Pre-Sort Services (PBPS) and Direct Mailing for deliveries
• Sort and prepare production volume for PBPS daily pickups
• Unload mailing materials delivery trucks
• Retrieve and prepare Custom Insert's first-class mail for delivery to Post Office
• Assist the mailing department with additional work, as needed and/or requested, including catching, sorting, machine operations, maintaining spec sheets, etc
• Understand and consistently follow company policies and safety regulations

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Expediting or Material Handling experience in a fast-paced production environment required.
• Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance is required
• Driving experience preferred, particularly operating company vehicles. Candidate must meet company insurance requirements; a motor vehicle report will be conducted prior to hire

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is standing and walking continuously for up to 10 hours a day. There is continuous movement of the body and frequent bending and twisting. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift, move, pull, and push up to 40 pounds independently. Using a pallet jack, the employee must regularly push and pull pallets containing roughly 100 pounds of material. Specific visions required by this job include close vision, distance vision, accurate color vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments. Steel-toe footwear must be worn while on the job site at all times regardless of the presence of a hazard.
