Job summary

SEPTA in Philadelphia is seeking a Mail Messenger to support the mailroom across the authority. You will prepare, deliver, and pick-up inter-office mail daily and operate mailroom equipment to ensure timely processing. The role includes delivering to the U.S. Post Office and maintaining employee mailing lists.

Under supervision, you will handle high-volume mailings, weigh and meter mail, and contribute to safety and efficiency. SEPTA offers a range of benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with two years of safe driving.
• Familiar with all Authority locations and basic computer software (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, delivers and picks-up inter-office mail daily.
• Operates and maintains reproduction, mailing, and facsimile machines.
• Delivers and picks-up mail to and from the U.S. Post Office daily and signs for special mail.
