Job summary

Cooper Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated mail courier to support hospital operations across Cape May Court House and other Cooper locations. You will sort and deliver internal mail, patient charts, medical supplies, employee files, and payroll materials, following established routes and times.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily flows, delivering incoming/outgoing items via a sub-contracted courier when needed, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Previous courier, healthcare, laboratory, or specimen transport experience.
• Knowledge of specimen handling and transportation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sort and deliver Internal Mail, Patient Charts, Medical supplies, employee files and Cooper Billing to all off-site locations.
• Oversee daily coordination of the flow of materials from the mailroom and courier room to be delivered by a sub-contracted courier; handle multiple daily runs and special deliveries.

Short Description

Performs all Mail / Courier functions according to pre-set timetable to cover all routes. Has all outgoing materials prepared to go according to designated courier routes and their prescribed times of service. Follows all hospital and departmental policies consistently. Performs assigned duties to the designated standard at all times. Responsible for the sorting and delivery of Internal Mail, Patient Charts, Medical supplies, employee files and Cooper Billing to all off-site Cooper locations, with the added responsibility of handling Cooper Payroll and Finance check runs from Cooper’s billing offices in Cherry Hill to the Camden campus. Oversee the daily coordination of the flow of materials out of the mailroom and courier room to be delivered via a sub-contracted courier service. Responsibilities to include multiple daily runs to designated departments and offices for pick up of correspondence, supplies, sensitive files, equipment etc. Position also includes multiple daily delivery of incoming correspondence, equipment and files along with various special deliveries.
