Job summary

Milliken and Company in Blacksburg, SC seeks a Control Equipment Technician (CET) to report to the Engineering Service Manager and coordinate maintenance on electrical systems within production equipment. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and service electrical components and sensors while supporting safe, efficient operations.

The role requires an electrical background, PC software familiarity, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have awareness of PC hardware components, desktop OS and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve opportunities.
• Able to interact effectively with management, staff, vendors, customers, and work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and be capable of using motorized equipment (fork trucks, tuggers, etc.).
• Must be self-driven.
• Electrical background.
• Minimum associate degree or work experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist other engineering associates to perform work required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order.
• Fix breakdowns.
• Complete work on department work list.
• Reinstall guards and safety equipment after completion of work.
• Replace and clean worn brushes.
• Work on DC/AC motors, breakers and other equipment switches.
• Work on conduit and flex for corrosion, loose straps or broken parts.
• Work on exhaust fan and motors.
• Read electrical drawings and work on electrical components on machinery.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

CONTROL EQUIPMENT TECHINCIAN (CET)

Job Description:

A Control Equipment Technician (CET) will report to the Engineering Service Manager and will assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. The Control Equipment Technician is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance on the electrical systems on the equipment. The CET is also responsible for trouble shooting and calibrating, and servicing electrical systems and sensors.

• Should possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve opportunities.
