Job summary

Milliken & Company in LaGrange, GA, is seeking motivated individuals for our Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting track. You will assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems under supervision and learn to troubleshoot industrial equipment including PLCs and motors.

You will gain hands-on experience in installation, wiring, and testing of production equipment, read electrical schematics, document activities, and participate in safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in electrical or related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Learn to troubleshoot PLCs, motors, power systems, and instrumentation.
• Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement tasks.
• Read electrical schematics and document maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and production teams.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.

Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems under supervision.
• Learn to troubleshoot industrial equipment including PLCs, motors, power systems, and instrumentation.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

Installation & Equipment Support

• Assist with installation and commissioning of production equipment.
• Learn wiring, system connections, and equipment testing.

Blueprint & Technical Documentation

• Learn to read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Document maintenance activities accurately.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
• Reinstall guards and safety devices after maintenance.
• Participate in Milliken Safety Process.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work with technicians, engineers, and production teams.
• Communicate equipment issues effectively.

Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in scheduled maintenance routines.
• Support reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Enrollment in or completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in an electrical or related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
