Job summary

Rea Magnet Wire is seeking an experienced quality laboratory leader to supervise technicians and ensure timely, accurate testing of raw materials, in-process wire, and finished magnet wire. You will drive testing priorities, maintain equipment, and investigate out-of-spec results to protect product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of manufacturing quality or laboratory experience.
• Experience leading laboratory staff and activities.
• Experience with measurement and laboratory testing equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and magnet wire testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Quality Lab Technicians and other lab personnel.
• Establish daily testing priorities based on production schedules and customer requirements.
• Review test results for compliance with specifications and control limits; act on out-of-spec results.
• Lead investigations using structured problem-solving methods and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory equipment; ensure traceability of data.
• Maintain proper documentation and communication across shifts; support continuous improvement.
