Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Nursing Education Leader to oversee the Magnet program, accreditation readiness and professional nursing practice across facilities. You will drive education programs and collaborate with nursing leadership to advance nursing excellence.

You will mentor staff, coordinate education strategies, and align practices with Magnet standards to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN licensed in Illinois.
• 5-7 years of direct clinical nursing experience.
• National ANCC certification or eligibility.
• 3-5 years of nursing management experience.
• Experience in a Magnet-recognized organization and related writing/preparation work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of Magnet application, designation, and redesignation processes.
• Mentor team to develop Magnet-related knowledge and competencies.
• Collaborate with Nursing Director, CNO, and leaders to support Magnet readiness.
• Design and implement organizational education aligned with Magnet standards.
• Support shared governance and education initiatives across departments.
• Lead planning and evaluation of Magnet program requirements and readiness activities.
