Job summary

Vulcan Elements Inc. seeks a senior leader to build and drive the Magnet Manufacturing organization.

You will own readiness across processing steps, coordinate with engineering, quality, and safety teams, and lead the commissioning and production ramp for high-volume, multi-shift NdFeB magnet production. You will develop staffing models, qualification standards, and training programs while owning the manufacturing budget, cost models, and key performance metrics to deliver safe, cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years in complex industrial manufacturing with 5+ years leading production/ops teams.
• Strong knowledge of industrial process equipment, automated materials handling, and process control.
• Experience with greenfield or major-expansion commissioning and startup execution.
• Proven leadership in building and developing operators, engineers and technicians.
• Direct accountability for OEE, throughput, and process yield; strong data-driven improvement.
• Experience establishing manufacturing cost models and managing operating budgets.
• Leadership of safety and compliance in a high-hazard environment.

Responsibilities

• Own Magnet Manufacturing readiness across key processing steps from design review to production turnover.
• Partner with Engineering, Capital, Automation, Maintenance, Quality and EHS to optimize layout, controls and material flow.
• Develop and support the commissioning plan, startup sequence, and resource plan for timely turnover.
• Lead production ramp after turnover with data-driven improvements to output, quality and availability.
• Design and grow the Magnet Manufacturing organization with staffing plans, supervisors, and shift leads.
• Recruit, onboard and develop operators, engineers and technicians with robust training and qualification standards.
• Lead safety programs including LOTO and hazard analysis for high-hazard materials.
• Own area COGS model and budget, monitor variances and implement corrective actions.
• Translate performance metrics (OEE, throughput, yield) into cost-reduction priorities.
