Job summary

Vulcan Elements is seeking a high-impact leader to build and guide the Magnet Manufacturing organization in North Carolina. You will own the readiness, commissioning, ramp and ongoing performance of pellet preparation, pressing, sintering, heat treatment and subsequent machining stages, ensuring safety, quality and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own Magnet Manufacturing readiness across processes from design review to production turnover.
• Partner with multiple functions on equipment layout, controls and material flow for safe, efficient operation.
• Develop commissioning plan, startup sequence and resource plan to ensure timely turnover.
• Lead production ramp, then optimize output, quality, yield and cost using data.
• Design the Magnet Manufacturing organization: staffing, supervision, engineering and technician roles.
• Recruit, onboard and develop operators and engineers with robust training and qualification programs.
• Ensure safety with LOTO, hazardous materials handling and high-temperature processes.
