The IT Intern at Magna Engineered Glass supports key technology initiatives across the organization, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), hardware support, and plant IT operations. This role helps ensure IT continuity, improves system reliability, and contributes to the quality, speed, and effectiveness of application development and other IT-driven projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting both technical and operational needs. This role is intended to be part time during the winter with the possibility to turn into a full-time summer internship in summer 2027.
Office Environment: 80% Plant Environment: 20% The employee must be able to tolerate sitting/standing for extended periods of time. It requires (Near/Far/Depth/Color) vision in order to be able to tolerate the eye strain associated with working on a computer throughout the workday. Must be able to tolerate the use of a keyboard and mouse on average of 6 hours per workday. While working in the Plant environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and various levels of temperature created by the manufacturing process. This role operates in both office and warehouse environments within a manufacturing organization.
Prolonged standing at least 4 hours. Lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds occasionally.
