Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Piedmont, SC is seeking a Team Leader to supervise daily manufacturing activities and drive continuous improvement. You will coordinate with shift teams, ensure safety standards, and support meeting production goals.

Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY

This position reports directly to the Supervisor and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities to communicate with other department team members as well as the Decostar management team.
  • Fluent in English (reading and writing).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrate positive attitude and ability to motivate employees in achieving goals.
MAIN DUTIES
  • Team Leader must be capable of performing all the duties as detailed in team member job description.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
  • Follow and enforce Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Follow and lead team members in following the Control Plan on a daily basis to ensure that our operating process is consistent with the procedures for the Department.
  • Oversee overtime equalization and ensure distribution of overtime is administered per policy.
  • Maintain team member attendance records and report absenteeism concerns your Manager in a timely manner.
  • Complete employee reviews as required and provide feedback to the team members on their performance on a continuing basis.
  • Facilitate daily informational meetings at start of shift with team members to ensure the success of the continuous improvement activities towards meeting the departmental objectives.
  • Ensure all team members have received required training necessary to meet the quality objectives of the Control Plan.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment necessary for the job are available and in proper working condition at all times.
  • Maintain adequate manpower at all times necessary to complete all the departmental activities for each product according to the scheduled requirements.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
