Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Round Rock is seeking a Machinist & Welder to join our manufacturing team onsite in Round Rock, TX. You will set up tools, read blueprints, perform welding and fabrication, and ensure parts meet drawings and quality requirements.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years welding or fabrication experience, basic metal knowledge, and familiarity with SMAW, GMAW or FCAW. Training is provided to develop skills in welding, brazing, and precision assembly.

Qualifications

• Typically 0-2 years of welding, brazing, fabrication, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of metals, welding equipment and shop safety.
• Familiar with SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW processes.
• Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and standard work procedures.

Job description

Machinist & Welder

We are looking for a Machinist & Welder to join our team!

As a Machinist & Welder, you are mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and able to learn new manufacturing processes and equipment. You will have prior experience with manual or power tools, machining equipment, or manufacturing processes is preferred; however, if candidates do not need to be experts in all equipment or processes. Training and development may include the use of lathes, drills, mills, threaders, saws, bead blasters, Sanders, and processes such as welding, brazing, micro-TIG welding, laser welding, and spot welding. You will perform routine welding, brazing, fabrication, and metal joining activities to produce parts and assemblies in accordance with drawings, sketches, work instructions, and quality requirements. You will use established procedures, tools, and equipment to support production.

Location: Round Rock, TX (onsite)

Salary Information:

$21.00 to $25.00 per hour

Your Challenge:

• Set up work area, tools, fixtures, and equipment based on instructions and assigned work requirements.

What You Bring:

• Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.
• Typically 0-2 years of welding, brazing, fabrication, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of metals, welding equipment, and shop safety.
• Familiarity with applicable methodologies (e.g. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)) preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and standard work procedures.
