Total Staffing Solutions in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a motivated Machinist to join our machine shop team. You will set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce precision components per blueprints, with the opportunity to train on a Vertical Machining Center (VMC) for complex parts.

You will read drawings, select tooling, measure parts with calipers and gauges, and maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of machinist experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, gauges, gauge blocks).
• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of metal properties and machining processes.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate, and maintain milling machines and lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate settings and tooling for production requirements.
• Inspect completed parts with precision instruments.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team to support production goals.
