Job summary

Baker Hughes in Houston is seeking a Machinist V to support Aero and Machine Shop operations by operating large CNC and manual lathes, Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), and milling machines. As a Machinist V, you will be responsible for:

• Aligning large rotors, gas turbine components, and parts within tight tolerances for machining, grinding, and runout corrections.


• Programming CNC lathes, VTLs, and milling machines to support production and repair activities.


• Reading and interpreting OEM drawings, Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs), work instructions, and digital routers.


• Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to machining and inspection activities.


• Calculating and setting machining parameters including speed, feed, coolant flow, depth of cut, and cutting angles.
