Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and honing equipment as needed.
  • Document maintenance records of repair work orders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet aerospace standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:The Machinist will perform alteration tasks on aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. In addition to that, the machinist will also develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling equipment as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones machining equipment, to produce parts to required specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and/or hones machining equipment as needed.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet strict aerospace standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 2 years of machinist or relevant/technical work experience.
  • Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
  • Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
  • Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Basic computer operating skills (Word).

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ year of machining experience.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.

OTHER:

  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and DOT drug testing.
