BAE Systems Space and Mission Systems located in Boulder, CO currently has a Prototype Machinist V opportunity available in our manufacturing facility. We machine prototype spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment daily. The machinist position will be required to work independently from complex drawings, sketches, CAD models, and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacture of parts and assemblies by programming, setting up, and operating DMG mills. Collaboration with our lathes and wire EDM teams utilized as support. You will manufacture complex parts made from a variety of materials with exacting tolerances. Detailed documentation as required per our AS9100 quality management system. Solid GD&T understanding. Multi-axis programming with your Mastercam skillset. You’ll be working with engineering for design and manufacturing producibility. A real team environment of continued success.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
