Job summary

University of Oklahoma seeks a Machinist Supervisor to support fabrication and integration using additive and traditional manufacturing equipment. You will program and operate metal additive and CNC machines to produce finished components, fixturing, and tooling for research systems.

You will also assist with electrical and mechanical integration to support projects and education, manage technical activities, and supervise student technicians with training as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, Vo-Tech, or Trade School Certification.
36 months experience in Engineering, Electronics or as a Machinist.

Responsibilities

Manage technical projects from planning to completion, coordinating with staff and data collection.
Maintain shared databases of trouble reports, vendors, and projects.
Supervise personnel and student technicians, providing training as needed.
Assign tasks and provide estimates of anticipated project completion time.
Implement and monitor safety procedures including equipment condition.
Procure consumable equipment components for the machinist shop.
Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation using appropriate test instruments and components.
