Description

Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines.

Key Accountabilities

1. Set up all tools, fixtures, and controls for each new job.
2. Work from part drawings and written instructions to create quality parts.
3. Read and modify programs by making necessary offsets for CNC machines.
4. Inspect in-process pieces to ensure parts are to specification.
5. Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies and core values.
6. Follow all safety requirements, participate in Safety 5Ys, and safety training.
7. Make quality parts, help create SOPs & WIs, participate in Quality 5Ys, ensure your own ISO compliance. Utilize all necessary documents and measuring devices to make acceptable product.
8. Participate in shift start meetings, utilize Visual Daily Management (VDM) to show progress and setbacks, complete paperwork.
9. Operate an overhead crane up to 10 tons.
10. Champion and deploy RBS methods in your cell.
11. Train others as required.
12. Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of operating experience.
2. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
3. Accurately read basic measuring tools.
4. Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes.
6. Accurately read and comprehend moderately complex material such as blueprints, work instructions, ISO procedures.
7. Ability to record basic information.
8. Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic skills.
9. Ability to use a computer with clear instructions and procedures.
10. Knowledge of and ability to solve unique problems that are diversified and involved. Judgment is required to adapt standard practices and principles to meet new conditions.
11. Ability to utilize and read OD mics.
12. Ability to operate overhead crane up to 10 tons.
13. Knowledge of gages required. Must be able to read and use properly.
