Job description

Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines.

Key Accountabilities

1. Set up all tools, fixtures, and controls for each new job.
2. Work from part drawings and written instructions to create quality parts.
3. Read and modify programs by making necessary offsets for CNC machines.
4. Inspect in-process pieces to ensure parts are to specification.
5. Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies and core values.
6. Follow all safety requirements, participate in Safety 5Ys, and safety training.
7. Make quality parts, help create SOPs & WIs, participate in Quality 5Ys, ensure ISO compliance, and utilize measuring devices to produce acceptable products.
8. Participate in shift start meetings, utilize Visual Daily Management (VDM) to show progress and setbacks, and complete paperwork.
9. Operate an overhead crane up to 10 tons.
10. Champion and deploy RBS methods in your cell.
11. Train others as required.
12. Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of operating experience.
2. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
3. Accurately read basic measuring tools.
4. Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of various metals and measurements used in machining processes.
6. Read and understand blueprints, work instructions, ISO procedures.
7. Record basic information accurately.
8. Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
9. Use a computer with clear instructions and procedures.
10. Solve diversified and involved problems, adapting standard practices as needed.
11. Utilize and read OD micrometers.
12. Operate overhead crane up to 10 tons.
13. Read and properly use gages.
