Job Description

About the Team:

The ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. team designs and manufactures hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems for off-highway machines.

The Model Shop / Tool Room (MSTR) Machinist manufactures prototypes, fixtures, and provides support for all areas of manufacturing. Prototypes and fixtures range from simple to complex. The MSTR Machinist manufactures parts from raw material, making all decisions in the process to achieve a final product. MSTR team members decide how to fixture their parts, program them using CAM, and determine the sequence of operations to ensure precision.

What you can look forward to as a Machinist:

• Program vertical machining centers and lathes using Mastercam and Pro Engineer Creo.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts and fixtures.
• Inspect parts produced using hand tools, gauges, CMMs, and Faro arm with laser scanner.
• 3D printing of prototypes and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve designs for manufacturability.

Your Profile as a Machinist:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of tool and die training with a technical school degree.
• Two years of related experience in a model shop or tool room environment is preferred but not required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and operation of three-axis machining centers and lathes is desired.

The expected base compensation for this role is $54,550 - $68,200 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on relevant factors.
