Job summary

Mykelly is seeking a Machinist (CNC/Lathe/Milling) in Hastings, NE 68901. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on machining on manual lathes, mills, or CNC equipment, with blueprint reading and strong math and communication skills. Work schedule is Monday to Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am, OT available on Fridays.

Pay rate is $21.25/h base plus 15% night shift differential, totaling $24.44/h. Contract is W2 through staffing supplier for 3 months, with possible temp-to-hire based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on machining experience on manual lathes, milling machines or CNC equipment.
• Proficient blueprint reading and interpretation of drawings.
• Ability to plan, organize, and follow established processes with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment and assist with routine maintenance and repairs.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators) to verify tolerances.

Machinist (CNC/Lathe/Milling)

Location: Hastings, NE 68901

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday / 4 pm to 2:30 am; Overtime available on Fridays.

Role Summary

Set up and operate precision machine tools to fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical parts, instruments, and industrial machinery using knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and blueprints.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma/GE


• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on machining experience operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC equipment in a manufacturing/repair environment.-


• Skills: Basic math, planning, organization, blueprint reading and clear verbal communication.

Key Duties

• Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operate basic equipment and assist with routine maintenance and repairs following established processes.


• Precision & Quality: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators) and interpret blueprints/geometric tolerances to meet quality standards.


• Safety & Compliance: Follow mandatory health, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.


• General Operations: Coordinate with guidance on policies/procedures, perform internal communications courteously, and execute assigned tasks.
