Associated Staffing Incorporated is seeking a skilled CNC Setup Technician in Hastings, NE. You will lead the setup and optimization of CNC mills and lathes, program using CAM software, read blueprints, and ensure precise measurement and quality control.

This role emphasizes problem solving, safety, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and maintain thorough setup documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills and lathes, including tooling, fixtures and workpieces.
• Program machines using CAM software and verify programs before production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T and technical drawings.
• Inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM).
• Troubleshoot issues, adjust machine settings and perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.
• Maintain setup documentation and inspection records.

Job Title: CNC Setup Technician

Location: Hastings, NE

Pay: $21.50 $27.50/hour (DOE)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday Thursday, 5:00 AM 3:30 PM Overtime as needed: Fridays, 5:00 AM 1:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Set up CNC mills and lathes, including tooling, fixtures and workpieces
• Program machines using CAM software and verify programs before production
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T and technical drawings

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills (feeds, speeds, tolerances, offsets)
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
