Job summary

MULTIVAC U.S. is seeking a skilled machinist to support production with a primary focus on manual activities not handled by automated CNC equipment. You will perform a wide range of shop tasks and produce quality components while following 5S practices.

Must read 2D and 3D drawings, setup and operate a variety of machines, and coordinate with other departments to meet schedules. Prior lead or setup experience is a plus, as is BOM/production orders experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of metal machining and fabrication.
• Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and create components from drawings without instruction.
• Lead or setup technician experience is a plus; BOM/production orders experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine shop equipment and support CNC activities as needed.
• Own assigned work center production orders and meet quality and due dates.
• Coordinate with other departments on scheduling, documentation, and designs requiring clarification.
• Expedite specialty production to support floor production and customer service.
• Perform secondary operations for CNC production (deburring, inserts, finishing, etc.).
• Set up/operate/program CNC and non-CNC machines (lathes, mills, welding equipment).
• Load/unload CNC mills as required.
• Locate and stage raw materials for CNC and non-CNC production.
• Manage outsourcing paperwork and vendors for parts (anodizers, bead blasting).
• Maintain organized filing and a safe, 5S work area.
