CSI is looking to hire a focused and detailed individual for the Manual Machinist 2 position.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a variety of working conditions. The machining department centers around a job-shop type environment, where work assignments and workloads will vary. Mastery of skills will be indicated by meeting the requirements of the machining department (speed, quality, consistency, profitability).
The primary business focus centers around 300 series stainless steel, but opportunities for working with other alloys will arise. Candidates must exhibit personal characteristics such as pride in the quality of work produced and a strong desire to uphold stringent standards.
Salary: $22 - $27 per hour

It is generally expected that a machinist will work an average of 45 hours during the normal workweek. However, due to the sporadic nature of our production requirements, work hours may vary. The potential for additional overtime hours on Saturday and/or Sunday may be requested or required at times. No overtime is guaranteed.
Machining positions require constant bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of polishing and grinding. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
