Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist IV for 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will manufacture high-precision aerospace and defense components using CAM systems and CNC programming, with a focus on tight tolerances and quality.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise able to understand and follow English instructions.
6 years’ experience as a diversified machinist.
Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems to create, repair, or alter complex parts, fixtures, tooling, and assemblies.
Knowledge of G & M Codes.
Plan, fixturing and layout of the job.
Maintain tight tolerances (0.0001–0.0002).
Inspect and ensure quality of all work performed.
Collaborate with Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues and find solutions.
Make technical decisions on fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods when instructions are limited.
