Job summary

Pentair in Delavan, WI is seeking a Machinist for the 1st shift. You will set up and operate CNC mills/lathe gear as part of a production team, reading GD&T drawings, using precision gauges, and maintaining coolants while performing routine maintenance. The role includes doing multiple machining operations to face, turn, bore, chamfer, groove, thread, drill, tap and deburr varied parts.

The position pays $28–$30 per hour DOE with a 1st shift 4:00am–2:00pm schedule and an available hiring bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of CNC Mill and Lathe setup and operation experience.
• GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math.
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines where procedures are standardized.
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, precision gauges, hoists, tools and refractometer.
• Read part drawings using GD&T.
• Use precision measuring gauges to check dimensions.
• Maintain proper coolant levels and perform autonomous maintenance.
• Face, turn, bore, chamfer, groove, thread, drill, tap and deburr varied materials.

We have an opportunity for a Machinist III to join our Delavan, WI team. You will perform operations necessary to set up, gage, and production run castings on a CNC lathe or Mill

You Will

• Set-up machines where detail and operating procedures are standardized and obvious


• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, precision measuring equipment, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools and refractometer


• Must be able to read part drawings using GD&T


• Know how to use precision measuring gages to check dimensions


• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform autonomous maintenance tasks


• Perform operations necessary to face, turn, bore, chamfer, grove, thread, drill, tap, and deburr a variety of materials and parts

Key Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of CNC Mill and Lathe setup and operation experience


• Must have GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math


• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly


• Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs.

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!)

• 1st Shift: 4:00am – 2:00pm Monday - Friday

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is: $28 - $30/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Determination of pay rate may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

• HIRING BONUS**


• $1000 Hiring Bonus - The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
