Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Machinist III for the 1st shift in Delavan, WI to operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints with GD&T, and maintain tight tolerances in a busy shop environment.

You will work with CNC equipment, manual machines, hoists, and a range of tools to produce precision parts, while upholding safety and quality standards. A $1,000 hiring bonus is offered, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Mill and Lathe setup and operation experience.
• GD&T and print comprehension; understand shop math.
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, twisting at the waist and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle full CNC setups to include tooling, work holding, fixturing and loading programs.
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools and fractometer.
• Read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Make offsets and minor edits to keep parts in tolerance.
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Perform operations to face, turn, bore, chamfer, groove, thread, drill, tap, and deburr a variety of materials and parts.

Machinist III 1st shift - Delavan, WI **HIRING BONUS**

You will:

• Handle full CNC setups to include tooling, work holding, fixturing and loading programs
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools and fractometer
• Know how to use precision measuring gages to include calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks etc. to check dimensions
• Read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Make offsets and minor edits to keep parts in tolerance
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform autonomous maintenance tasks
• Perform operations necessary to face, turn, bore, chamfer, grove, thread, drill, tap, and deburr a variety of materials and parts

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC Mill and Lathe setup and operation experience, preferred but not required
• Must have GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly
• Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs.

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!)

• 1st Shift: 4:00am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is: $28 to $30/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Determination of pay rate may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

HIRING BONUS

• $1000 Hiring Bonus - The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
