Job summary

BD is seeking skilled machinists to join its on-site Sandy, Utah machine shop, supporting the production of BD Medical components. You will program Mastercam/SolidWorks, set up CNC mills/lathes, and perform self-inspections with precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and program in Mastercam and SolidWorks; proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Able to read drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions; operate precision measuring equipment like calipers, gauges, laser micrometers, optical comparators.
• Machinist 1/2/3 roles; capable and willing to train and mentor; maintain production throughput.

Responsibilities

• Machining BD Medical components; setup and operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes, precision grinders, screw machines, tumblers, band saws, lapping and pedestal grinders.
• Design and fabricate specialty fixtures; perform self-inspection on manufactured parts.
• Support on-site production including inspection and packaging related to BD products.
