Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a skilled machinist to operate a range of machine shop equipment, including CNC machines and EDM processes, in a Monday–Friday shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with overtime available.

The role requires tooling, setup, and precision work, reading blueprints with GD&T, and collaborating with engineering on part functionality and assembly requirements. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Job Overview

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (overtime available).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, layout, set up, and operate a variety of manual, CNC, and computerized machine shop equipment.
  • Perform tool adjustments and ensure precision in all machining operations.
  • Interpret blueprints, process sheets, and technical sketches to execute production tasks.
  • Cut and shape metal components to exact specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering teams to understand part functionality and assembly requirements.
What your background should look like
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree in Machining Technology.
  • Completion of a 4-year toolmaking apprenticeship preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in milling, turning, heat treatment of tool steels, and surface grinding.
  • Experience with setup and programming of Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and profile grinding equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauges.
  • Proficiency in metric measurement systems.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software.

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $52,100 – 78,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
