Job summary

ITW in Minnesota (Alexandria) is seeking a Machinist or Senior Machinist to produce parts requiring CNC programming, complex tooling and setup, while meeting quality, safety and productivity standards.

You will plan your work, inspect outputs, and understand GD&T tolerances while collaborating with teammates to maximize throughput and continuous improvement. The role offers a day shift, four 10-hour days, with pay aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Technical School graduate preferred or;
• Minimum 4 years' of experience in similar machine shop setting.

• Able to meet quality inspections.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Good communication skills.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

To meet customer's expectations and requirements by producing all parts requiring programming, complex tooling and setups while meeting or exceeding standards for quality, productivity and safety.

Standard schedule is day shift, 4 days, 10 hours

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Technical School graduate preferred or;
• Minimum 4 years' of experience in similar machine shop setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing 10 hours per day (out of 10 hour workday) but may work 10-12 hours per day.
• Walk up to 2 hours per day
• Bend, squat (to check parts) - occasionally
• Crawl- rarely
• Reach out from body up to 24 inches holding up to 20 pounds - rarely
• Hand grasping – continuously
• Finger manipulation - frequently
• Push up to 35 lbs. Force (carts, pallet jack)
• Carry up to 35 lbs. (parts and tools) 20 feet - occasionally, 100 feet - rarely
• Lift at waist level up to 24 lbs. frequently/up to 50 lbs. - occasionally
• Lift to/from floor level (parts) 50 lbs.- occasionally

Compensation Information:

Machinist 20-26 per hour depending on experience
