Collins Aerospace in Puerto Rico is seeking a Machinist to produce precision machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual equipment at the Santa Isabel site. This on-site role requires residing in Puerto Rico at start.

You will interpret blueprints, measure materials, perform machining setups, program CNC machines, inspect work for accuracy, and uphold quality and safety standards. HS diploma with English/Spanish communication and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; vocational/tech education accepted.
• Proficient communication in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship or equivalent status required to access program/contract information.

We are seeking a Machinist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for producing precision machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual equipment, including Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized machinery.

This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, design sketches, and GD&T to determine operational, material, and dimensional requirements.


• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using mechanical equipment.


• Measure materials and select the appropriate machines and tools for each process.


• Perform machining setups and make necessary adjustments during operations.


• Program various CNC machines as required.


• Operate and transition between multiple machines, including CNC, Drill, and other precision equipment.


• Conduct inspections of produced work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.


• Review SPC charts and apply required gauging and measurement practices.


• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all quality and safety standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.


• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).


• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working with Tool and Die.


• Experience operating and/or programming CNC machines.
